The Black Brain Radio CD features two 30 minute extracts from a radio artwork created by unconventional and innovative artist Garrett Phelan.
In Black Brain Radio the listener is presented with an onslaught of information reprocessed through the artist’s voice, and presented as a series of confusing, disjointed fragments. Black Brain Radio requires the listener to follow unpredictable, even obsessive thought-patterns, as subject-matter jumps without warning.
Garrett Phelan, a Dublin-based artist, has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally and has been involved in a number of groundbreaking projects that explore the relationship between radio and art.
Released in a multiple of 200 copies with accompanying 24-page booklet and custom-made sleeve. Booklet contains photos and an essay by artist Sarah Pierce.
